The State Tax Service assured that these data will not be affected. The resource, on the contrary, will be improved thanks to the current service Mpass. They explain that the reason for the innovation lies in the requirements of the current legislation. It obliges government agencies to integrate the MPass service into all electronic government services to ensure minimum cybersecurity requirements.
In this regard, the functionality of user identification by name and password, which is currently offered by the www.servicii.fisc.md portal, will be finalized. Because the current method does not allow for controlled access to it, generating the risk of unauthorized connection and harm to taxpayers.
MPass is a more secure and flexible mechanism for user authorization. With this, users gain access to the entire public services infrastructure, without having to save multiple passwords for access. As well as multiple methods of secure identification.
Access to all electronic tax services after the closure of the portal will be through the “Personal cabinet of the taxpayer” on the website of the State Tax Service www.sfs.md using electronic or mobile signature. Login and password will remain on servicii.fisc.md only until July 1 this year.
“I have been using electronic services of the STS since 2008, when the agency first introduced online submission of tax reports,” says a specialist in the tax field. – At that time the entrance to the site was made with the help of a plastic card and a special card reader. Later a digital signature appeared. And flash drives were joined by a cell phone, through which you can access electronic tax services. Today it is possible to sign a report only with a digital signature.
Moreover, users who were registered on the site of electronic services of STS after 2020, enter the site only with such a signature. Therefore, the problem of transition from one resource to another will not be felt by all accountants and directors, but only by those who started using its services before that time.
“In my opinion, serious changes, except for the entrance to the site, are not expected,” he continues. – And today most of the information is in the public domain. And everyone has a digital signature. Colleagues say that now, having a login and password, they can use any computer, so this way of logging in is more convenient. But most colleagues also have smartphones. Difficulties may arise for those who enter the site not under their own name. Those who do not register themselves as an accountant for a particular company and perform all actions, for example, on behalf of the director”.
At the same time, there are many resources in Moldova where an accountant uses a login and password to log in without additional secondary identification. Part of Moldovan banks still work this way. Therefore, it was probably possible to leave this method as well, the interlocutor notes.
