The financing structure included LE 11.90 million from FNDRL, while LE 3.87 million was contributed by local authorities.
On Tuesday, July 15, the acceptance commission evaluated and accepted the works of road infrastructure renovation in the urban revitalization zone, carried out within the project. Thanks to this, the residents of the municipality, especially those who live in the areas adjacent to the renovated streets, can enjoy more accessible, safe and environmentally friendly roads.
The works included the reconstruction of a road section in the “Ungheni Vale” neighborhood, which is of strategic importance for urban mobility, especially Stefan cel Mare and Ungului streets. They were modernized by asphalting the carriageway, installing modern road signs and traffic safety measures. All this will contribute to reducing travel time and improving comfort for pedestrians and drivers.
The modernization of the overpass over the Chisinau-Ungheni railway line, located on Stefan cel Mare Street, was also an integral part of the project. Thanks to the repair of intermediate support poles, this key link between urban neighborhoods and the industrial zone now provides a safe urban connection, which has a direct impact on mobility and local economic activity.
The project also included rehabilitation work on the bridge over the Delia River and slope stabilization to prevent landslides and ensure infrastructure resilience.
The works were carried out by SRL Aedificator under a construction contract signed in July 2024, in partnership with ADR Center and Ungheni Municipality.
These strategic investments create better conditions both for the residents who use the roads on a daily basis and for the local economic agents who benefit from an efficient road infrastructure, which contributes to reducing logistics costs and increasing the investment attractiveness of the city.
