According to him, this measure will contribute to the correct taxation of imports and will attract considerable funds to the country. “I do not rule out that we can talk about sums of more than 1 billion lei per year,” Andrian Gavrilice said.
Earlier, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu said that the government was preparing amendments regarding the introduction of taxes for parcels ordered on online platforms. According to him, the introduction of taxes is necessary for economic and security reasons. The chairman of the parliamentary commission for economy, budget and finance, Radu Marian, recently said that the authorities will return to the issue in 2026.
