This was reported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization and the Moldovan Embassy in the UAE, noting that this is about Moldova’s participation in one of the world’s biggest events dedicated to technologies, startups and innovations, where our country was represented by 3 innovative companies in the fields of design, microfinance and construction.
The Moldovan delegation was headed by the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor. She noted that in a world where innovation is developing faster than ever, “great ideas no longer come only from large economies”. “They are born where there is flexibility and courage, and Moldova is just such a place,” Doina Nistor emphasized.
According to her, today Moldova is a dynamically developing digital country. In particular, more than 2500 IT companies are registered in Moldova Innovation Technology Park, which generate more than 5% of GDP. Thanks to the unique tax regime of 7% income tax and modern digital infrastructure, our country is becoming an attractive destination for founders, investors and innovators from all over the world.
Moldova has also launched the Energy Sandbox Law, a framework program that allows testing clean energy solutions, from solar microgrids to smart energy storage systems. And by joining EuroHPC, founders will have access to the European computing power needed to develop AI-based solutions.
The investment potential of our country was also discussed during Doina Nistor’s talks with UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Tani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.
