Strengthening cooperation with international organizations such as TEGOVA is expected to facilitate the transfer of best practices and the adoption of modern evaluation methods.
In May 2024, the Agency has already obtained the observer status in TEGOVA, which allowed it to participate in profile events, working sessions and training programs. Membership in this organization provides access to methodologies, guidelines and standards recognized at the European level, as well as to international expertise. It allows participation in joint projects and strengthening institutional capacities through the exchange of experience and data.
Although Moldova is not obliged to transpose EU directives specific to the field of property valuation, there are relevant regulations affecting this field, e.g. EU Regulation 575/2013 on capital requirements (CRR).
In parallel, Moldova joined the SPACE4GEO Alliance, a European platform specialized in spatial data and digitalization. The Agency’s accession to this Alliance will allow the implementation of innovations in the field of geoinformation systems and spatial data infrastructure in the country.
The SPACE4GEO Alliance skills development partnership currently has 71 participants from 14 countries, including government and educational institutions, higher education institutions, training providers, commercial companies, research centers and industry associations.
One of the benefits of joining the SPACE4GEO Alliance is that the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Agency will become part of an international cooperation network recognized by the European Commission (DEFIS – Defence Industry and Space).
The transfer of contributions to both organizations will be ensured from the Agency’s budget. The annual contribution to TEGOVA will be 1500 euros, while participation in SPACE4GEO will cost 480 euros.
