For a detailed analysis of the development of the mobile communications market and the current situation, see page 5.
In fixed telephony, ANRCETI’s annual report confirms the trend of recent years: consumers prefer mobility and Internet access. In 2024, the number of landline telephone users decreases to 734.2 thousand, 13.4% less than in 2023.
Mobile and fixed Internet access services, as usual, show growth. ANRCETI sees this as consumers’ preference for services based on advanced technologies.
The number of mobile Internet access subscribers is 3.088 million in 2024 and 3.022 million in 2023. Fixed Internet access: 899.3 thousand in 2024 and 837.6 thousand in 2023. There is a positive trend here due to the development of broadband technologies based on the use of fiber optics.
