The project with a total value of 25.21 million lei, of which more than 22.53 million lei represents the contribution of the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (NFRMD), aims at increasing the tourist and economic attractiveness of the Hincesti district by modernizing the recreation infrastructure and using the local potential in the field of sports tourism. It meets regional development objectives by contributing to the creation of a comprehensive network of tourism and sports infrastructure in the Central Region.
The Hincesti Sports and Tourism Complex will become a regional landmark. Its construction will be accompanied by the development of related infrastructure, including the creation of 0.15 km of access roads, 50 accommodation facilities and landscaping of over 1 hectare of land.
The local authorities expect that due to the realization of the project, more than 112 thousand residents of Hincesti district and numerous visitors will get modern conditions for recreation and sports activities, and the region will become more competitive in tourist, economic and social terms.
“This project is an investment in the quality of life of people and the development potential of the whole region. The use of tourism and sports as factors of economic growth will create new opportunities for residents and will contribute to the creation of an attractive image of Hincesti region at regional and international level”, – said Ion Pinzar, Director of ADR Center.
Chairman of Hincesti District Council Iurie Levinski emphasized that “the signing of the contract marks the beginning of an important stage for the local community. Investments in tourism and sports infrastructure will not only improve living conditions, but will also attract visitors and stimulate the local economy”.
The project will run for 24 months. An open tender will soon be issued to select a contractor to carry out the construction work for the project.
