Yerevan Fashion Week is organized under the auspices of Fashion and Design Chamber of Armenia and annually gathers industry representatives from the South Caucasus, Europe and the Middle East. The event is traditionally hosted by the Meridian Expo & Event Center, the largest exhibition center of the capital.
The program of the season-2025 included shows of more than twenty designers, thematic exhibitions and discussion panels dedicated to the promotion of regional brands. Special attention was paid to creating conditions for exporting designer products outside the region.
The participation of Moldovan designer Alexey Sorochin with the L’eclat collection of Alexey Sorochin brand became a landmark episode for the regional industry. The invitation came thanks to the cooperation between FDC Armenia and ZIPHOUSE, as well as with the support of the GIZ Moldova organization, which sponsored the participation.
According to the organizers, the initiative to invite the young designer came from the Armenian side. Alexey Sorokin became the first representative of Moldova at this platform. The presented collection L’eclat (translated from French as “radiance”) became an emotional culmination of the show. According to Sorokin, it is a story about inner light. He defines it as “not a flash, but a quiet, personal glow”. This aesthetic is in line with the new wave of Moldovan design, in which the priority is shifting from demonstrativeness to silence.
Our designer received a lot of feedback and messages after the show: Armenian media published photos of the collection, and the audience asked about the date of the next performance. This response demonstrates the growing interest in cultural projects and confirms that regional fashion weeks are increasingly becoming platforms for the exchange of ideas, not just showcases for brands.
