On her way to the finals, Adelina Senik defeated opponents from China, USA, Italy and Russia. In the decisive match she faced American Jaylin Liu, whom she defeated 15:12. In the final individual standings, 18-year-old Senik took first place with 32 points. Jailyn Liu was second with 26 points, while Jazmin Papp (Hungary) and Alessandra Tavola (Italy) shared the third place (20 points each).

Senik’s performance in individual competitions significantly surpassed the results of other Moldovan fencers. Larissa Francesca Pensa, representing Moldova, stopped at the stage of 1/16 finals, where she lost to Russian Milana Levchuk (8:15). Ulyana-Dumitrica Josan failed to overcome 1/32 finals, and Ulyana Dobrynina failed to overcome 1/128 finals.

The Moldovan team consisting of Senic, Josan, Dobrynina and Pensa knew no equal in the team competition. In the 1/8 finals they defeated their opponents from Poland, and in the quarterfinals – USA (in both cases – 45:37). Access to the final was ensured by a successful performance in the semifinals, in which the team from Singapore was defeated (37:20).

In the decisive confrontation with foil fencers from Russia, competing in a neutral status, one point was decisive. Athletes from Moldova snatched victory with the score 36:35. The bronze medals were won by the Hungarian junior women’s team.

According to the results of the competition, Ulyana-Dumitrica Josan said that the result was unexpected for the team. “It was difficult, but we managed. The most motivating for us were the fights with the US team. As it is known, American fencers are well prepared and are among the strongest in the world,” said the 18-year-old Moldovan athlete.

The national team of Moldova was made up of pupils of the sports specialized fencing school of mun. Kishinev. The participants of the World Cup stage in Slovakia were the national teams of 21 countries.

The next stage of the World Cup among juniors will be held in the beginning of 2026 in Tbilisi (Georgia), and the World Fencing Junior and Cadet Championships are scheduled for April in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
