
The National Bank published a report on official trips and official visits abroad of members of the NBM governing bodies in 2025.
Last year, the NBM management made 68 business trips, which allowed them to participate in international conferences, working meetings and other events important for Moldova’s financial stability. NBM President Anca Dragu had the largest number of trips abroad.
According to the report, the most frequent trips of the members of the National Bank of Moldova management were to Romania, mainly to Bucharest. Most of Anca Dragu’s visits were there – participation in conferences, round tables, receptions and working meetings. For example, she participated in an official reception at the Royal Palace, a reception at the Cotroceni Palace, the launch of the “Movers & Shakers” yearbook, as well as in various galas and ceremonies dedicated to educational and women’s initiatives.
The most expensive was the trip to the United States. Head of the National Bank participated in meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington from April 21 to 28. This business trip cost 277,628.8 lei (transportation, per diem, accommodation and medical insurance).
The second and third most expensive are two other trips to America. Vice Presidents Tatiana Ivanichkina and Petru Rotaru participated in the meeting of the World Bank and IMF.
In 2025, other employees of the National Bank of Moldova made 290 business trips and official visits to expand their professional knowledge and connections.
For comparison, in 2024, the expenses for business trips and official visits abroad of the members of the NBM management bodies amounted to 2.03 million lei, although there were more business trips (73).
It should be noted that the National Bank of Moldova’s expenses for 2025 were approved in the amount of 657 million lei, in 2026 – in the amount of 761 million lei.
