As noted in the information of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, it was adapted to the previous amendments to the Law on the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund. In particular, the document introduced provisions on two new categories of citizens classified according to the energy vulnerability scale: extreme and primary. As well as a provision on providing compensation to citizens in the form of monthly cash payments.
In addition, a new module was added to the system – “Eco-voucher”, which will be used to implement a support mechanism for the program of financial assistance to improve the efficiency of energy consumption by vulnerable consumers.
The “Eco-voucher” module will allow to digitize the projects of financial assistance for improving the efficiency of energy resources consumption, use of renewable energy sources and thus monitor the process of implementation of these programs. It will also allow to keep a centralized record of coupon recipients and enterprises participating in the Eco-voucher program. The module will be managed by the Energy Efficiency Agency under the Ministry of Energy.
At the same time, as Logos Press reported earlier, the issue of compensations for citizens’ heating costs is still unanswered. The problem is the absence of a new government, which, according to the legislative procedure, should approve the Medium-Term Budgetary Forecast for the next three years and the national public budget for 2025.
The draft Medium-Term Budgetary Forecast for 2026-2028 was released by the Ministry of Finance for public scrutiny in August.
