
Value Added Tax (VAT) has the largest share in the revenue structure at about 67.26%, followed by excise duties at 25.95%, customs duties at 6.54% and other payments at 0.25%.
VAT on imports amounted to 17.58 billion lei, which is 7.6% more than last year.
In the list of excise duties (which increased by 2.8% in total), the first three places are occupied by charges for imported petroleum products, tobacco products and vehicles.
Customs duties amounted to 1.7 billion lei, they increased by 11.1%.
The levy for customs procedures fell to 30.45 million lei, down 25.4%. It was canceled due to the entry into force of the new Customs Code. At present, this fee is levied on residents of FEZ and MSPD “Giurgiulesti”, who decided to carry out their activities in accordance with the provisions in force as of December 31, 2023.
