Wages remain the most important source of income of the population, its share in total income is 55.8%, which is 3.3 percentage points higher than in 2023.
At the same time, social payments also continue to occupy a significant share in the average monthly disposable income of the population, their contribution was 20.9% (+0.2 p. p. to 2023)
Remittances from abroad continue to be a significant source of replenishment of household budgets. On average, they accounted for 10.2% of total income in 2024, down 0.9 percentage points from 2023.
The income of the urban population was 1.6 times higher than that of people living in rural areas.
In 2024, the average monthly consumer expenditures of the population in real terms (adjusted for the average annual consumer price index) decreased by 0.9% on average compared to 2023.
The main areas of household expenditures are consumption of food and non-alcoholic beverages – 39.9%, payment for housing, water, electricity and gas – 17.2%, as well as purchase of clothing and footwear – 7.7%.
It is estimated that the expenditures of people living in urban areas were 1.6 times higher than those of people living in rural areas.
